Movie Review: To Save a Life

In my Career Management class, we watched the movie, To Save a Life. Now, our assignment is to write a review of the movie. To Save a Life is about a high school student named Jake Taylor. Jake and Roger were childhood friends, but when Jake made it into the popular crowd, Roger did not. This caused Jake and everyone else to ignore Roger. One day, Roger walked into school with a gun in his hand and killed himself. The movie begins with Jake attending Roger’s funeral. No one seems to mind Roger’s death, but it makes Jake reevaluate what he is really living for. With Roger gone, everyone finds another kid to bully and pick on. Jake faces a choice-stick up for the kid getting picked on, or ignore him like he did Roger. Meanwhile, Jake begins speaking with Chris, a youth pastor at Jake’s local church. Chris helps Jake get his life back on track as he prepares for college.

To Save a Life is a faith-based movie that uncovers the real world that teens live in today. I really enjoyed this movie because it was very realistic. This movie is PG-13, but I recommend it to everyone!

The Life and Times of Alli

Hey y’all! This is my first blog, but before you start reading any of my posts, I think you should know a little bit about me. My name is Alli and I am a Georgia peach. In addition to that, I am a small town girl  who loves sweet tea and monograms. I am a cheerleader and a book worm. I love running and of course, shopping. Traveling is one of my many hobbies along with, fishing, hiking, and anything else that takes place outside. I love summer because I am a huge beach bum. I enjoy getting dressed up; however I spend the majority of my time in my pajamas. In middle school, I am on the Yearbook Staff, attend a monthly book club, and participate in Y-Club. I love spending rainy days in my pajamas curled up in my bed reading, or snuggled up on the couch watching a movie. I am very crafty, happy, and bold, and you will never catch me without a smile on my face. I commit 100% to everything, and always keep my promises.

I live by the quote, “Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets. So, love the people who treat you right, forgive the ones who don’t and believe that everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. Nobody said it’d be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.” I have learned to always be satisfied with what I have and to count my blessings. I am a southern girl who loves curls and pearls! I hope you continue to read my posts and follow me on this blogging journey! Remember to let all that you do be done in love.

xo,

Alli
